Acai Granola

Firstly what is acai granola? Is it better to consume acai as supplements or as an acai granola bar? Well you have come to the right place, we will uncover the benefits af both granola and acai and their cumulative benefits.

Granola by its self is simply a breakfast food consisting of rolled oats, nuts, honey and sometimes rice or other ingredients,  that is usually baked until crispy. During the baking process the mixture is stirred to maintain a loose, breakfast cereal-type consistency. Dried fruits such as dates and raisins or even chocolate chips are often also included.

Granola itself is a very old form of breakfast, granola bars on the other hand are a recent phenomena, the same basic ingredients, but differ vastly in shape: Instead of a loose, breakfast cereal consistency, granola bars are pressed and baked into a bar shape, resulting in the production of a more convenient snack. The product is most popular in the United States and Canada, parts of southern Europe, Brazil, South Africa and Japan.

The acai granola bar is just a further take on the breakfast or snack bar evolution, however there is one major factor in choosing to take your acai in the form of an acai granola bar. Acai granola bars are essentially packed with the energy and nutrients you expect from any granola bar, but if you are looking for the specific benefits of acai, then you are more likely to receive those benefits such as a slimming aid, if you take a product that is targeting acai by itself, such as straight-forward acai supplements or juices.

In summary the acai granola bar is a great source of energy and nutrients, but if you want to rely on acai to help you suppress your diet or you are looking for acai specific benefits from the acai granola bar, you’re probably better of buying acai by itself.
